WELCOME TO THE NHT FAMILY

We know walking into something new can feel a little intimidating—but trust us, you're in the right place.

Whether you've never danced a single step, you're coming by yourself, or you're simply looking for a fun night out, we'll make sure you feel welcome from the moment you walk through our doors.

You don't need to be a dancer. You just need to show up.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Friendly Faces- From the second you walk in, you'll be greeted with smiles, encouragement, and a room full of people who remember what it felt like to be new.

Beginner Friendly- Most people in our beginner classes have never line danced before. We teach everything step by step at a comfortable pace.

No Judgment- miss a step? Laugh it off. We've all been there. Nobody is watching your feet- we're too busy having fun ourselves.

A whole lot of fun- Expect country music, laughter, cheering, and plenty of moments that will leave you smiling all the way home.

FIRST TIME QUESTIONS

Do I need dance experience?

Absolutely not.

Most people who join Northern HonkyTonk have never line danced before. Our beginner classes are designed specifically for first-timers, and we'll guide you every step of the way

Can I come by myself?

YES!

In fact, many of our dancers walked through the doors alone on their first night. It doesn't take long before you're laughing, dancing, and making new friends.

Do I need cowboy boots?

Nope!

Wear whatever comfortable shoes you can move in.

Cowboy boots are fun, but they're never required.

What should I wear?

Anything you're comfortable dancing in.

Jeans, leggings, shorts, or your favourite country outfit—whatever makes you feel good.

Do I need a partner?

Not at all.

Line dancing is designed for everyone, whether you come with friends or arrive on your own.

How early should I arrive?

Plan to arrive about 10–15 minutes before class starts so you can check in, meet some friendly faces, and settle in before we begin.

What if I make mistakes?

You will. And so will everyone else.

That's part of the fun!

What age is this for?

Our classes welcome everyone of all ages, and we also offer special family and junior events throughout the year.

Hi, I'm Jes!

Northern HonkyTonk started with one simple dream—to create a place where anyone could walk in, feel welcomed, and leave feeling happier than when they arrived.

Whether you've danced your whole life or you're stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time, I can't wait to meet you.

See you on the dance floor!

❤️ Your FAV HonkyTonker

STILL NOT SURE?

Walking through the doors for the first time can feel scary.

We get it.

Every single HonkyTonker was once exactly where you are.

Nervous - Unsure.

Wondering if they'd fit in.

Now they're the ones cheering on every new face who walks through the door.

You'll never be "just another person" here.

You'll be welcomed into a community that's built on kindness, encouragement, and a whole lot of country music.

READY TO DANCE?

Come see why so many people call Northern HonkyTonk their favourite night of the week.

Whether you come with friends or walk through the doors on your own, we'll save you a spot on the dance floor.
